WSSC PISCATAWAY WRRF BIO-ENERGY

Bota Consulting Engineers, Inc. (BOTA.) provided Geotechnical Engineering Services, Construction Management Services, and Construction Material Testing Services at the WSSC Piscataway WRRF Bio-Energy Project Phases I & II in Accokeek, Maryland for five (5) years.

BOTA is a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE/DBE) with Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT), a WSSC certified Small Business Enterprise (SLBE), a certified Prince George’s County MBE & CBB firm, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise certified by Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA)

During five (5) years in our involvement with construction of the WRRF Bio-Energy Project Phases I & II, BOTA provided quality control (QC) testing and inspection services as follow:

Earthwork/Site grading and site utilities installation construction inspection

Construction of tanks foundation installation using auger cast piles (ACP), grout & concrete sampling

Reinforcing steel for foundation base for tanks construction

Concreting of tanks foundation base construction

Precast Panel installation construction inspection

Structural Steel & Welding Inspection construction

Asphalt Paving construction throughout the Project Site

During our involvement on the Piscataway WRRF Bio-Energy project, BOTA achieved the following succusses:

• Personnel growth was 25% - a total of six (6) personnel were involved on the project, which included Principal/Professional Engineer, Project Manager, technicians/inspectors, and administrative assistant.

• Sales growth was 20%

• Built good relationship with the General Contractor, PC Construction Company and others. In fact, BOTA has been working with PC Construction on two other projects in Maryland and Virginia

• Built good relationship WSSC and several Prime Constructors on Water Main Replacements and Construction Consultant Inspections.

Construction Testing & Inspection Services (QC/QA) at WRRF Bio-Energy Project

Bota Consulting Engineers, Inc. (BOTA) provided testing and inspection services (QC/QA) for the entire WRRF Bio-Energy project Phases I & II, which included installation of deep foundation system of hundreds of Auger Cast Piles (ACP), performed material testing & inspection services for all concrete work, and site work including water, sewer, and storm drainage lines. In addition, BOTA is performing testing and inspection services for all roadways constructed in and around the project.
