BOTA Consulting Engineers, Inc. was founded as a Geotechnical engineering consulting firm that assists clients in finding practical, feasible, and economical design and permitting solutions. In doing so, our goal is to deliver products and services that are on time, accurate, and within budget. BCE Inc., has a particular specialty in Geotechnical Engineering for residential, commercial and public development projects, and also provides other related geotechnicall engineering services.

Our principal, Ernest M. Njaba, P.E., have more than 32 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Material Testing & Inspection Services. Our staff includes registered professional engineers plus technician and administrative support, bringing to the firm a variety of design experience and resources for accomplishing project tasks.

The strength of our organization is built upon client service and the day to-day involvement of the principals in the projects. Our core service is focus on client response, reality-based design, and value engineering. Our management structure is designed to meet the needs of our clients by using the project team approach for the execution of all projects. The project team structure is centered on the Project Manager who is the primary point of contact with the client and is responsible for managing the performance of the project team. BOTA corporate organization, including technical staff, administrative services, financial services, and human resources serves to support the Project Manager in the execution of his/her duties.

BOTA Consulting Engineers is registered as a consulting engineering firm to practice in the states of Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. We are certified Prince George’s County Based Business (CBB); certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) with Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), a Small Local Business Enterprise (SLBE) with the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC), and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE/DBE) with Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT). We strive to complete each project with skill and expertise, accuracy and timely, diligently and within the budget constraint.

  • SC MAGLEV Baltimore – Washington, DC Project – Geotechnical Investigation, Laboratory Testing & Data Report for Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) Phase for WSP USA, Inc. (Louis Berger) US Transportation Engineering Division – February 2018 to December 2018.
  • MGM Resorts/Casino National Harbor, Prince George’s County, Maryland – QA/QC Services - June 2014 to December 2016 - $1.4 billion
  • WSSC Consultant Inspection Services Contract, an MBE/DBE Subcontractor under Louis WSP Water Services – Baltimore Office – Contract Value of $750,000 per year – A 6-year Term Contract – May 2018 – April 2024.
  • Baltimore County Public Works – Construction Inspection Term contract - A 5-year Term Contract– August 2021 – July 2026 – Contract Value of $700,000 per year.
  • WSSC Piscataway WRRF Bio-Energy Project, Accokeek, MD 2019 – 2024 – Contract Value $275 million for PC Construction Company
